About this model
This piece, called the Sandstorm Traveler, features a lot of fluid, sweeping curves that wrap around a central spiral. It looks like it was shaped by the desert wind, with layers that overlap and twist into each other. The design has a very organic feel, almost like a piece of driftwood or a weathered rock formation found in a canyon. It sits well on a shelf or desk as a conversation piece. The way the light catches the various ridges gives it a lot of depth even though it's a solid color. It’s meant to look like movement frozen in time.
--- I test all my models with default Bambu Lab slicer settings: 0.2mm layer height, 10% infill, tree supports. No complex tweaks needed. If a model requires special settings, I include a prepared 3MF file (rare).
Printing tips
- 0.12–0.16 mm layers bring out sculpted detail.
- Tree supports peel more cleanly from organic shapes.
- Silk or matte PLA hides layer lines on busts.
